- קְשִׁיm. (b. h.) = קוֹשִׁי, hardness, stiffness; difficulty. Tanḥ. Shlaḥ ed. Bub., supplement 14 אל תבט בק׳ ערפם look not at their stiffneckedness; Num. R. s. 16 end בקשה (corr. acc.).Pl. קְשָׁיִין. Sifré Deut. 305 אין חבר נקנה אלא בקשי ק׳ a friend can be acquired only with the greatest difficulty.
